Saving the FUTURE of the ORPHANS and VULNERABLE children through quality Education
Having seen the
great misery that helpless orphans and vulnerable children are facing in
struggle to meet their needs, ranging from education, medical, shelter,
clothing, food and love, in Uganda the pearl of Africa, Bishop Patrick
Muhumuza, shared it to other persons who agreed to commence an organization
under which these children could be assisted to make sure that people that
would have died unknown, un-used for the purpose of the kingdom of God,
regretted their births and who would have tarnished the testimony of Jesus
Christ in the world, are to be held up straight until God’s purpose of their
creation is realized.
Rwenzori region which
comprises of Kabarole, Kamwenge, Kasese, Bundibugyo, Ntoroko, Kyenjojo and
Kyegegwa districts is a bed of roses of fertile soils, housing Rwenzori
mountain, over 200 crater lakes, stalactites and stalagamites of Nyinamwiru
(Communly known as “Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru), Equatorial forests of Kibale which
shelters Chimpanzees and various other animals, Unique culture of Toro enriched
with eleven pate names, wonderful dress codes of Toro, source of Rivers
Semuliki, Mpanga, Nyamwamba. Mubuku, e.t.c, calm cool temperatures and a
Salt-Lake of Katwe.
Nevertheless the
headquarters of this Region (FORT PORTAL) happened to score great numbers of people
infected and affected by HIV/AIDS taking the second to RAKAI in Uganda. this of
course retarded development and had many families left un parented, single
parented or impoverished due to high expenditures met on nursing HIV victims in
homes. This also increased the number of street kid, orphans; vulnerable
parents (aged) leading to serious public/open drug abuse, bare prostitution,
high crime rates, family destructions, infant mortality rates and high levels
of illiteracy which feed back to more chances of getting and widely spreading
HIV.
This is what prompted Bishop Patrick Muhumuza to devise measures to help out in abide to eliminate such an
evil in the Rwenzori region.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
- To provide educative support to the school-going-aged children through establishment of an orphanage school.
- To create a more enjoyable environment for the orphans to Know Christ and have faith in God.
- To provide guidance and counseling to the depressed, vulnerable, and helpless children, youth and the aged (elderly)
- To provide hands on skills to vulnerable children/youths to gain ability to acquire income.
- To train the Young ones in the ways of Lord and help them to discover their giftings and talents both spiritually and physically.
TARGET
GROUPS
The organization targets the services on;
- The orphans (totally un-parented)
- The Vulnerable children (poor single parented)
- Aged (above 60 both males and females)
- Street kids (parents died, got lost, not known)
ACTIVITIES TO BE DONE:
- Providing of Nursery education (already in progress).
- Providing Primary Education (already going on)
- Providing Secondary and Technical Education (to be commenced as soon as funds become secured)
- Train proposal writing and report (dissertation) formulation presentation.
- Guidance and counseling, image building, mentoring.
The Program Layout
This all stuff shall require establishment of the
following of which some have already been put down like in Nursery and Part of
Primary Levels where by grace temporally class rooms have been constructed with office equipments and furniture.
SCHEME
SUSTAINABILITY:
1.
The organization will receive the free-will donations
which some may be saved and used for development.
2.
The organization will welcome different partners in
form of organizations, institutions, district bodies, individuals and
companies; this will earn the organization some money.
3.
The organization will operate relevant seminars and
training which will build financial capacity of the organization.
4.
With time the
organization shall start the projects that will earn her money.
5.
As the board members suggest.
FUTURE ANTICIPATION:
1.
The orphans shall in a near future become able to stand
by themselves not relying on bad acts like prostitution, drug abuse and theft.
2.
The orphans will acquire standard education and be
trained to help other orphans.
3.
The street kid numbers will greatly be reduced and the
once hopeless children will be greater inspirers and testimony carriers.
4.
The children will grow in the firm foundations of God’s
word.
5.
The vulnerable children will be trained in making self
help projects that will turn them into billionaires.
6.
The aged will be supported to realize good times in
their old age.
7.
Crime rate in Rwenzori region will be reduced to
manageable levels.
8.
The great potentials of Rwenzori will be engaged to
yield employment and income to the people.

We need missionaries who can teach us skills or help setup self help projects and business as well as medical missionaries, school of ministry ,vocational institutions, Academic Christian schools ,orphanages and destitute rest homes etc.
The time you will spend with us, will be making a huge impact in our ministry and community.
